Drain Buddy is a simple one-person tool for unseating / freeing slatted drain / gully covers. It allows the operator to use their weight to break the resistance. An extendable handle then allows easy opening and closing of hinged gully covers.

Drain Buddy Gully Opener is used to unseat and open hinged gully gratings and slatted drain covers. Its unseating or 'breakout' capability can also be used on non-hinged gratings and covers. The operator is able to apply their full weight for unseating the grating, by standing on the body of the tool. When loose, the telescopic handle is extended to provide a long lever for easy rotation of the grating into the open position. Hinged gratings and gullies can also be closed under the control of the tool.
Drain Buddy will be used where the grating/gully cover will not open easily, due to the effects of corrosion, compacted dirt or heavy traffic.
