At South Survey our aim is to give our customers the best deal possible, along with the best user experience by looking at the whole picture and that’s why we have put together this great Combined Total Station & GPS Total Package.

The Spectra Precision FOCUS 35 RX is a new range of motorized total stations providing high speed, accuracy and precision in measurement. The FOCUS 35 robotic instrument moves the power of the observer from the instrument to the range pole, improving efficiency. The speed of observation and precise positioning of the FOCUS 35 Robotic Total Station is provided by patented StepDrive™ motion technology, which controls the horizontal and vertical motion of the motors, eliminating the need for traditional motion locks. The FOCUS 35 includes a tracking sensor that uses LockNGo™ FastTrack tracking technology, enabling the instrument to constantly lock onto the prism.

All robotic instruments include:

  • a motorized drive system at the instrument
  • a tracking sensor to track the range pole and prism
  • a communication connection between the instrument and range pole and prism

The speed of observation and precise positioning of the FOCUS 35 robotic total station is provided by patented StepDrive ™ technology. StepDrive controls the horizontal and vertical motion of the motors, so there is no need for traditional motion locks. Using the motorized drives it is possible to precisely turn to, and repeat angle measurements. This results in quick and reliable measurements which substantially increases your staking productivity.

The Robotic and LockNGo™ FOCUS 35 models include a tracking sensor that uses LockNGo technology enabling the instrument to constantly lock onto the prism. The benefit of LockNGo technology is the ability to follow the prism at all times and reduces downtime from not having to re-point the instrument on every observation.

To maintain contact between the FOCUS 35 instrument and the remote observer with the range pole and prism, the robotic solution must include a communication link. The FOCUS 35 uses an integrated 2.4 GHz radio modem as does the Spectra Precision Ranger™ 3 data collector. The 2.4 GHz radio modems provide interference free robotic data communications.

Once your robotic communications have been established you can control all the functions of the FOCUS 35 from the range pole as you move through the job site making measurements. This makes it possible for a single surveyor to perform high accuracy stakeout, layout or topographic surveys by themselves. From high-order control surveys to topographic data collection or fast-paced
construction layout, you can rely on a FOCUS 35, even in harsh outdoor conditions.

The FOCUS 35 total station is combined with Spectra Precision Survey Pro field software, providing you with world class software solutions for any surveying application. An example of these features includes a unique robotic software technology that can be used when associating the FOCUS 35 with a low-cost GPS receiver and Survey Pro software. This combination of technologies allows the user to take full advantage of the Spectra Precision GeoLock ™ technology to keep locked on target.

The Spectra Precision GeoLock technique allows a robotic total station to perform an aided search for an optical target using an initial GPS position. The remote instrument can then be directed towards the robotic roving operator using the GPS position and a subsequent search is quickly performed to re-acquire the target at the robotic rover. This technique greatly reduces wasted time, improving your field work efficiency.

The FOCUS 35 robotic solution is best described as Simply More Powerful. Packaged in a modern, sleek, and streamlined design, it is easy-to-use, affordable and tough. FOCUS 35 Series Total Stations are designed to meet all your surveying needs.

The third generation Spectra Precision® Ranger™ Data Collector offers a large bright touch-screen, full alpha-numeric, easy to operate, keypad, and is packed with the features surveyors depend on Built rugged, it meets rigorous MIL-STD-810G military standard for drops, vibration, humidity and extreme temperatures, and with an IP67 rating, it's designed to keep your investment and your data safe The Ranger features Survey Pro and Windows Mobile 6 5, with the capability to run the mobile version of all your favorite programs including Excel and Outlook Integrated Bluetooth capabilities let you connect to field equipment without cables. The ranger 3 in this package has the gsm module for data communication.

The Spectra Precision SP60 is a new generation GNSS receiver offering a high level of flexibility to cover any survey demand from simple post processing, through standard UHF or unique Long Range Bluetooth base and rover systems to sophisticated RTK and RTX rover solutions.

Combining the unique all-signals-tracking and processing Z-Blade GNSS-centric technology and L-band capability for satellite-delivered RTX service, the SP60 receiver provides the most reliable measurements and the highest possible accuracy under any conditions and in any place the world.

Extremely scalable and versatile, SP60 can respond to any type of surveying job, starting with a simple L1 GPS only post-processing solution up to dual-frequency GNSS network RTK rover.SP60 integrates powerful Long Range Bluetooth capabilities opening new operation modes to surveyors.

Now, the Bluetooth wireless communication can be used as an alternative radio link between base and rover for a few hundred meters range making this solution very attractive for small site surveys.

Easier and simpler than UHF radio, and without any need for a license this can be a very efficient way to quickly setup a short range base rover solution.

The patented UHF antenna, set inside the fiberglass rod, extends the range of RTK radio performance and provides protection at the same time. All these enhancements make the design of SP60 GNSS receiver unique and powerful.

Spectra Precision Survey Pro or FAST Survey field software provides an easy-to use, yet powerful GNSS workflow, letting the surveyor concentrate on getting the job done.

Spectra Precision Survey Office Software provides a complete office suite for data processing and Spectra Precision Central cloud computing solution offers a simple to use pathway to data exchange and management.

Moreover, combined with the most advanced and rugged field data collectors from Spectra Precision, SP60 is a very powerful and complete solution.
